Chromatin regulation of transcriptional fine-tuning

This DFG-funded project revolves around targeting a transcription regulator to specific chromatin sites in the process of dosage compensation and the functioning of histone variants in Drosophila. The candidate will join and strengthen a small team of researchers studying the mechanistic aspects of chromatin organisation, mainly using biochemical assays. Experience in the molecular biology and in chromatin biology are of advantage. An affinity for structural studies will be beneficial.

Salary Details:
Salary is according to the German standard salary scale (E13; 65% E13). The contract is for an initial 2 years, starting in Summer 2017, with prospects for extension.
